Summer Project II
It occured to me that I hadn’t shared my latest shelf-building project at the society. This past August I added the shelves you see below to the reading room. They are about eight feet tall and twelve feet side to side. They sit on a pedestal to add stability and provide access for a heating duct and electrical outlet. Basic construction…oak plywood sides and back with oak facing and trim. Quite a satisfying project when all was said and done.



One of the unusual aspects of adding something like this to a hundred year old Victorian…nothing is flat or square. I think this may be the last of my shelf-building projects.
