When it doesn’t rain….

.Mad River and the Pacific

Mad River and the Pacific

We are finally receiving some much needed rain.  Last year we had something like13 inches of rain with normal being perhaps 25.  Those of us who use the streets and trails for exercise got rather spoiled by not having the rain to hamper our outings.  I normally take a long ride on Sundays…22 round trip miles along the ocean which gives me a good two+ hours of exercise.  Two Sundays ago it was so windy that on my return trip I had to call for help.  Heading home in strong gusts was not fun.  Last Sunday, heavy rain and no ride.  This morning….perfection.

Another indication of this being a nice day to ride is that apparently everyone else had the same idea.  I encountered dogs,  kids walking their parents, and lots of other bike riders.

Despite the sun, it was a little cool.  I am layered with two vests, a sweat shirt and two t-shirts.

The weather conditions must have been a little different this morning because the planes usually do not land in this direction.   Early morning United passengers were approaching from over the Pacific.

It seemed to be a good morning for all concerned, even the cows.

Thank you. It took me the length of the entire Laker’s game to create two posts. I wish someone would create an easier blogging process:)
