Back Home Again

I’ve actually been home a week but this is the first I’ve been moved to write.  All good intentions to the contrary, I’ve still not been able to incorporate a consistent posting strategy.  Maybe someday.  Until then, we’ll have to make good with these on again/off again posts.  Sorry.

The trip to Texas was fantastic.  While it’s probably best for the rest of the world that we don’t live in close proximity, it was nice to visit with my siblings…and I know Mom enjoyed having us to herself for a week.  She and Mel are off to MD Anderson today for a follow up on her previous exam.

Dave got home to Atlanta and they promptly promoted him.  He should probably visit his Mom more often.  He could be mayor in a few years.

I’ve told the society I’m leaving at the end of the fiscal year (June 30) and we’ve decided we’re not RV people.  We looked at trailers, entertained the idea of a small motor home, but came back to our original idea…get a nicer, bigger car (currently driving a 2001 VW Cabrio)…update our camping equipment (much of it over 30 years old)…and plan on hotels when we need a break.  Didn’t think we would agree on a vehicle, but lo and behold, we found the right size car for us both…a 2010 Subaru Outback.  Bigger than a wagon, smaller than a monster SUV.  Our local dealer (McCrea) wants more than we want to spend so we’ll see what kind of deal we can get somewhere else (Bay Area or Oregon) since we don’t have to have a new car today.

Durry, sorry for the delay. Computer down at work. Carmelita Cotton married Paul Leon Watts Sept. 5, 1937, in Okla. City. I was born July 1, 1938 in Okla. City. They separated July 10, 1940. Mother divorced Paul Jan. 22, 1946 in Amarillo, TX, Potter County. She married William Wallace Robinson Nov. 15, 1946 in Amarillo and remained in the marriage until her death Feb. 5, 1982.
Rosalie Jean *Robinson (*assumed name) married Louis Owens Capps Dec. 9, ’55 in Long Beach, CA. Theresa Lee Capps was born Dec. 3, 1956 in Long Beach, CA. Theresa (Terri) married Mark Vincent Bartolomucci Sept. 22, 1979 in Rossmoor, CA. Mark William Bartolomucci was born August 11, 1981 in Los Alamitos, CA. Mark Wm. is a tall, blue-eyed blonde with fair skin. He looks like Terri, Terri looks like me (when I was younger), and I looked like a Watts in better days. I’m glad you had a great visit with your mom and siblings. If you don’t hear from me for a while, it’s because the computer is still down. I’m at the library and finally figured out how to do this. Love to you and yours,
