Off We Go…
Into the wild, blue yonder…rising high, into the sun. That’s sort of the way you feel as you go up and over the three passes that get you from the coast to the inland valley.
We pulled the trigger half a day early and left after noon. A couple of hours found us in Weaverville, gateway to the Trinity Alps and a place we’ve been many times, mostly for swim meets, but a few cross countries as well. Wednesday is Farmer’s Market day in W’ville so we stopped (we should have a bumper sticker on the trailer…We stop for Farmer’s Markets).
There were beautiful peaches…a couple for breakfast.
Then back on the road.
Over Buckhorn Summit and down into Redding, it gets to be 93 degrees before you know it. Found the RV park, set up, made drinks and dinner and then discovered…Lassen, at the end of the driveway.
What a wonderful country.

What a smooth, clear sailing start to your USA trek. Glad you shared some of that sunshine with us…nice afternoon here. You’ll have a peachy-keen start to your new day. Keep snapping those nice pics
… and you’re off!
Have fun!
Did you get to see the Sun Dial Bridge in Redding?
Martha…many many times before, but not on this “outing”. Nice little bridge, isn’t it.
