One Week, Four Campgrounds

The view from the campground was certainly  much nicer than the campground itself.  But it was our get-a-way night, and Redding was on the way.

Goose Lake State Park, just across the northeastern border of California.

Double Dice RV Park, Elko, NV.   A cement and gravel RV jungle….but if you have never spent a couple of days in Elko, you have missed an awful lot.  Really.

KOA Campground located pretty much in downtown Salt Lake City.  We are sharing the park with a gazillion other “seniors”  in their much larger units.   The LDS Church provides free shuttles on the half hour into town…..a great way to get to the Family History Library, AND every morning at nine there is a water aerobics class for me.  We seem to like this so much that we have added another night to our stay here……

Did you bring bikes? What’s your next stop? I was hoping to travel through the Wasatch mountains, but our route is more Northern.

No bikes…Durry doesn’t ride one, and one bike would be so un-sociable. We walk a lot. Saturday morning we drive into Idaho…then into Yellowstone before we spend some time with Bryce Parker in Bozeman.

Just got back from a bike ride ourselves. Turned on the noisy air conditioner, it’s 11 am and 82 outside, on up to 95 or higher, ugh. Guess we’ll just have to let the yard go a little longer while we head for the water. I think Durry would look fabulous on a bike (no Harley)…
